Zack Snyder Shares New Steppenwolf Design To The Fans

The success that Marvel and Disney have garnered from the Avengers franchise is inexplicable. However, the same cannot be said about DC’s Justice League as right after the release of the titled movie. It started receiving harsh critical remarks from fans and audiences for its failure to compete with its Marvel counterparts.

DC was really close to releasing the Zack Snyder version of the Justice League, but the director got trapped into some personal problems related to his family, and he was substituted with Joss Whedon – the man behind the titled Avengers movies and responsible for making them extremely successful before the audiences.

Whedon’s success might have been praise-worthy for the Marvel Cinematic Universe but spoke otherwise for the DCEU. His capabilities couldn’t vamp up the Justice League as he did with the Avengers. Hence, a lot of dislike ness and abhorrence was spewed by the fans on social media, which lead to mass demand for the original version of the Justice League, i.e., Snyder’s Cut. Even the actors Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa who played Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman, respectively in the movie, took to their social media accounts participating in the protest and pleading Warner Bros. to release the Snyder Cut version of the Justice League.

After months of online protests, Warner Bros. finally listened to the plea and gave a green signal to release the Snyder Cut. But before it could be released into the theatres, the world went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, it was decided for the movie to be released on HBO Max in 2021. Since the passing of this decision, director Zack Snyder had posted a teaser to the Snyder Cut version, which featured Darkseid for the first time in the DCEU. Here’s the teaser,

The teaser got everyone hyped about the brand new avatar of the Justice League that they were going to see after such a miserable let down previously. But wait, there’s more. Recently, Snyder has also teased a new sketch of Steppenwolf on his Vero account. Could this mean that in his Snyder Cut, he’s featuring both Darkseid and Steppenwolf?? Man, even I’m getting hyped about this!!

His caption reads, “Sorry he’s Low resolution, but I’ve seen him in all his hi-Rez glory, and he’s a thing to behold. Quick question — how many fucks do you think he gives?”

Steppenwolf was the prime villain in Whedon’s version, where we saw his objective was to acquire all the three mother boxes so that he could have total domination over Earth. Snyder’s Cut will feature him in a more badass way than Whedon’s. Snyder’s Cut is also said to have a longer runtime than Whedon’s JL.
