The Babysitter: Killer Queen Release Date & Trailer Revealed

This Halloween, we are going to have a sequel to Netflix’s original horror-comedy movie, ‘The Babysitter’, that released back in 2017. Although the news of the film under development was announced last year, it is just recently that the first look from the movie has been released, and judging by the images, it seems that the upcoming film will be recapturing similar vibes from the first movie.

Written by Jimmy Warden and McG & Dan Lagana and Brad Morris, while the cinematography has been done by Scott Henriksen. McG will be serving as the director and the co-producer of the movie yet again, in the upcoming movie as well, along with Zack Schiller and Mary Viola, under the production house of Wonderland Sound and Vision. However, the scriptwriter of the parent film, Brian Duffield, has since been replaced by Dan Lagana, the American Vandal writer.

The Babysitter: Killer Queen has Officially been dated to release on September 10, 2020, on Netflix. On August 12, Netflix announced the title, release date, and gave away the first look of the film via Twitter. Apparently, the running time of the movie is going to be around 101 minutes. You can watch the first film on Netflix in 4k if you own the subscription rights to the streaming platform.

The movie will be bringing back most of the characters from the principal movie, including, Judah Lewis as Cole Johnson, Robbie Amell as Max, Hana Mae Lee as Sonya, Emily Alyn Lind as Melanie, Bella Thorne as Allison, Andrew Bachelor as John, Ken Marino as Dad, Leslie Bibb as Mom. However, there will be new additions as well, which includes, Amanda Cerny as Violet, Maximilian Acevedo as Jimmy, Julio Cesar Chavez as Diego, Nandini Minocha as Shiela. In October 2019, it was announced that Jenna Ortega would also be a part of the cast. The principal photography came into action on October 14, 2019, in Los Angeles, and the shooting was wrapped by November 24, 2019. The movie is currently under post-production status.

Unfortunately, there are very few chances to see Samara Weaving reprising her role of Bee, and will not be returning to the upcoming sequel. However, it seems that her role will be given to a new actress, possibly Jenna Ortega, who is already in the list of the cast members, but her character name is still a mystery.

In the upcoming sequel, we are going to witness Cole, who is still trying to let go of the horrors of his past, besides adapting to the new environment upon entering the high school, where he has to deal with another tragic story. According to the official storyline given by Netflix, the movie will witness the return of old enemies for seeking revenge, straining Cole to flip the script, in order to surBabysitterBabysitter revolves around the life of Cole Johnson, a shy twelve-year-old boy, who has a feeling of liking towards hisBabysitterbabysitter, Bee. One day when Cole’s parents leave him alone at home, Cole discovers new secrets related to Bee’s hidden past, about her being a ruthless killer. He is now forced to take the matter into his hands and work, overcoming his fears.
