Who hasn’t heard of the popular RPG video game series called Dragon’s Dogma? The game online launched on the PS3, PS4, and PC in August 2015. The anime adaptation for this is part of the collaboration between Netflix and other animation studios. Sublimation is the one producing this series. Recently, the studio revealed the staff members for both the English and the Japanese version of the anime.

The air date of the anime has also been announced by Netflix. The anime will be releasing worldwide on 17 September 2020 on Netflix. It is rare to have the episode schedule releasing beforehand, and Netflix did it this time. The Dragon’s Dogma anime will have a total of 7 episodes, and as for the titles, each one of the episodes is named after the seven deadly sins.
Here are the names of the Seven Deadly Sins – Greed, Sloth, Pride, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, and Wrath.
As per Netflix, the story of the anime revolves around a man whose heart is stolen by a dragon(literally), the entire anime revolving around his tale of getting revenge on the Dragon. He gets reborn as an ‘Arisen’. In between his adventurous journey, he takes off the demons that represent the Seven Deadly Sins of humans. The series will be available on your Dekstop coming 17.
Shin’ya Sugai will be taking care of the direction and production of this series at Sublimation. Taki Sakurai from Netflix, Hiroyuki Kobayashi from CAPCOM, and Takashi Kitahara from the production of Resident Evil are the co-producers, respectively. The man behind Cardfight!! Vanguard, Kurasumi Sunayama will be writing the script for the series, and as for the animation direction, Iku Nishimura the animation director for Ghost in the Shell and Eden of the East will be designing the characters.
