Dave Season 2 Release Date

The second season of Dave is expected to release sometime in March 2022. Of course, the pandemic has influenced the production of the filming industry, and the rapper himself would like to give some time to his music career as well. Hence, in all probability, the show won’t return before 2022.

The fact that the first season became an immediate hit makes the show’s renewal just a matter of time. A new season was announced on May 11, 2020, after the first season concluded on April 29, 2020. The first season comprises ten episodes premiered on March 4, 2020, on FXX in the USA, and on BBC Two and the BBC iPlayer on May 10, 2020, in the United Kingdom.

The first season cast Lil Dicky as himself, or the titular character, Dave Burd. Therefore, season two is bound to bring him back, as it is evident.

The other important characters of the show include Taylor Misiak as Ally, in the character of an elementary school teacher as well as Dave’s love interest; Andrew Santino as Mike, playing the role of Dave’s roommate and his manager; Travis Bennett as Elliot, playing Dave’s friend and DJ; and Christine Ko as Emma, cast as Ally’s friend and roommate, as well as Dave’s graphic designer.

GaTa is also seen in the series as himself, who is the on-stage hype man of Dave. The show featured a long list of guests who have made an appearance in the series’ first season that includes— Justin Bieber, YG, Trippie Redd, MadeinTYO, Benny Blanco, Macklemore, Kugman, John Pirruccello, Young Thug, Gunna, Catherine Dent, Pacman da Gunman, O.T. Genasis, Ninja and many more.

Get ready to witness the presence of other big names as well in the upcoming season.

Dave Season 2 Expected Storyline

Created by Jeff Schafer and Dave Burd, the American semi-biographical drama, ‘Dave’ revolves around the fictionalized version of Dave, or more precisely, Lil Dicky, an erratic suburban man in his late 20s, determined to create history by being the biggest rapper in the world.

In the first season, the spectators experienced complete laughter therapy, with the goofy rapper believing his instinct to become a popular face in the industry. Season 2 is also expected to bring out the same sort of self-deprecating humor from Dave and his embarrassing activities.

We may get to see more of the pivotal points in his career as we got a glimpse of it in the last few episodes. Even Dave confirmed several incidents from his own life that he will include in the upcoming season.

There is no question for the makers of the second season to have released a trailer by now, judging by the undeniable ill-impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the time being, you can watch all the episodes on Hulu. Here is the official trailer of Dave Season 1.
