Eddie Hassell, Actor in ‘The Kids Are All Right’ and ‘Surface,’ Dies at 30 After Being Shot
The actor who received great fame through his performances in ‘The Kids Are All Right’ and ‘Surface’ was shot dead on 1st November. His representative, Alan Mills, addressed the media and told that the actor was shot dead around 1 am. His family was contacted later, where his cousin confirmed the death of the actor, Eddie Hassell.
The actor’s unfortunate demise has shaken people from within, and we are hoping for the culprit to be caught as soon as possible.
Supposedly, the actor was shot outside his girlfriend’s apartment in Grand Prairie, the Dallas suburb, Texas. The girlfriend did not witness anything at the scene. The 30-year-old actor was shot in the abdomen on Sunday during an alleged car robbery attempt. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he could not be saved, unfortunately.
The police arrived at the spot around 1:50 am where they found Eddie Hassell in a wounded state by gunfire. Officers did the first aid and assisted Hassell to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the doctors. A car was taken away from the scene, which was recovered later. This led to the argument that the death could be due to an attempt at car robbery. However, the investigation is still going on. We can pray for the culprit to be arrested soon and Eddie Hassell to get justice for the incident.
He was born on 16th July 1990 in Corsicana, Texas, United States. He started with small roles in films between 2000 to 2010. In the 2010 film ‘The Kids Are All Right,’ his role for Clay got recognition, and everyone praised his performance. His science fiction series Surface also made his character of Phil Nance famous. He became known to the public throughout his career by acting in several movies and TV shows.
He featured in films like 2012’s ‘The Kids Are All Right,’ ‘Jobs,’ ‘Family Weekend,’ and ‘House of Dust.’ He also appeared in certain episodes of TV series like Oliver Beene, Surface, Marriage is…, Devious Maids and Longmire,
Eddie Hassell was always an active person. He got into skateboarding, horse-riding, and rodeos. He also got into skating when he moved to Los Angeles. His avid surfing and skateboarding also landed him into some commercials in his career. He even claimed that he did all his stunts on his own without the help of any stuntman.
He even published his own book, which was named ‘Someone Should Tell You.’ The book was published way long back in the year 2009.
