Guy Ritchie’s latest film, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, is an action-packed comedy that reunites him with frequent collaborator Jason Statham. The film follows Statham’s character, Orson Fortune, a super spy who must team up with a group of operatives to take down a billionaire arms broker. As the team navigates a complex web of espionage and deceit, Ritchie’s signature style shines through in the film’s fast-paced action sequences and witty dialogue.

In an interview, Ritchie discussed his approach to filmmaking, revealing that he likes to leave himself open to new ideas and inspiration on set. “I think it’s a frequency thing,” he said. “I think if someone dials into the frequency then you’ll probably like most of my work, I suspect.” Ritchie also talked about his editing process, admitting that he often makes changes on set to improve the efficiency of the narrative.

Ritchie has a reputation for being a director who likes to improvise and tweak his scripts during filming. He revealed that nearly every scene in Operation Fortune was rewritten on the day of filming, with him working closely with his actors to create a more spontaneous and natural performance.

When it comes to working with Jason Statham, Ritchie has a special fondness for his collaborator. “Actually nothing,” he said. “I’ll be very happy. It’s funny, we’re about to go make a film in Spain and I would have done it with Jason apart from, he’s just far too old now.” Despite this, Ritchie hinted that he may work with Statham again in the future, possibly in a role that requires an “old man who creeps around on crutches.”

Ritchie also discussed his plans for Sherlock Holmes 3 and Aladdin 2, revealing that he is open to revisiting both franchises in the future. He expressed his desire to work with Robert Downey Jr. again on a third Sherlock Holmes film, but noted that the ball is currently in Downey Jr.’s court. As for Aladdin, Ritchie said that he would “very much like” to do a sequel, but that it’s still in the early stages of development.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is set to hit theaters on March 3, giving fans of action-packed comedies a chance to experience Ritchie’s unique style and sense of humor. With its all-star cast, including Hugh Grant and Josh Hartnett, the film promises to be a thrilling ride from start to finish.
