In 2008, he landed the role of Jacob Black in the YA vampire fantasy adaptation, Twilight, which would turn into a five-movie mega-franchise. As Jacob, Lautner was able to showcase his impressive acting and athletic abilities, and he quickly became the subject of great teen adoration.

Although Taylor Lautner didn’t get to play the brooding singer in Camp Rock, Joe Jonas wound up being perfect for the role and reprised his part in the movie’s 2010 sequel, Camp Rock 2.
