Resident Evil Franchise: Celebrating a Pop Culture Phenomenon with a Limited-Edition 4K Ultra HD Collection

The Resident Evil franchise is a beloved series of movies that has left a lasting impact on popular culture. Despite deviating from the original video game story, the films managed to build a loyal fanbase and gross over $1 billion at the box office. The franchise’s contribution to popular culture is evident in the way the Umbrella Corporation, a bioweapon company responsible for a zombie apocalypse, has become a symbol of an evil corporation.

The franchise’s ability to resonate with audiences can be attributed to its well-developed characters, including Alice, played by Milla Jovovich, and fan-favorite characters like Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, and K-Mart. The movies also feature a notable cast, including Michelle Rodriguez, Eric Mabius, James Purefoy, and Oded Fehr.

Despite the success of the film series, the franchise has struggled to find new life in live-action format. The 2021 reboot, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, received a lukewarm reception, and the Netflix TV series was canceled after a single season. However, the animated films continue to be appreciated by fans.

To celebrate the franchise’s achievements, a limited-edition Resident Evil Steelbook 4K Ultra HD collection is being released. The collection includes all six movies, with bonus material that provides a deep look into the world created by Paul W.S. Anderson. The collection is a must-have for fans of the saga, offering a unique opportunity to relive the thrill and excitement of the Resident Evil series.

The collection consists of six 4K Ultra HD discs, each featuring a different film in the series. The discs are presented in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos+ 5.1 audio, providing a stunning visual and audio experience. The collection also includes a Blu-ray disc for each film, featuring high-definition video and 5.1 audio.

Each film includes a range of special features, including cast and filmmaker commentaries, visual effects commentaries, alternate endings, and featurettes. The collection also includes new additions, such as previously unseen featurettes and commentaries.

The Resident Evil Steelbook 4K Ultra HD collection will be available on November 21, offering fans a chance to relive the excitement and thrill of the franchise.
