Warner Bros. reveals Supernatural Blockbuster: Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

Warner Bros. has announced a new DC Universe film, “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”, which is set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026. The film is being directed by Craig Gillespie and stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, Superman’s older cousin. The story follows Kara’s journey as she navigates her Kryptonian upbringing and her destiny as a superhero.

Milly Alcock, known for her role as Rhaenyra Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel “House of the Dragon”, has been cast in the titular role of Supergirl. Alcock’s casting marks a new collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of Warner Bros. Gillespie, known for his work on “Cruella” and “I, Tonya”, will be bringing the story to life through his direction.

The film is still in the early stages of production, with no release date set. However, Warner Bros. has confirmed that filming will begin this fall, with the aim of releasing the film on June 26, 2026.
