Celebrating 25 Years of SpongeBob SquarePants with Funko Collectibles and Paramount+ Streaming

SpongeBob SquarePants, the beloved animated series, is reaching a significant milestone as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. This special occasion is being marked with a range of collectibles by Funko and the opportunity for fans to stream all episodes on Paramount+.

Funko’s collection includes new Pops, mystery minis, and plushies that feature iconic characters and memorable episodes from the series. Among the new Pop figures are Krusty Krab Pizza SpongeBob, Caveman SpongeBob, Glove World SpongeBob, Ripped Pants SpongeBob, Fry Cook Games Patrick, and DoodleBob.

Funko’s SpongeBob offerings also include a new set of mystery minis, featuring Squidward, Imagination SpongeBob, and Krusty Krab Patrick, as well as a new wave of plushies with Squidward, Patrick, Gary, and Mr. Krabs. Funko has a history of releasing SpongeBob products, and these new figures continue to tap into the nostalgia of longtime series fans.

Since its debut in 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has had a significant cultural impact. This year, the character will host the Kids’ Choice Awards and return to the big screen in Christmas 2025 for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. As part of the anniversary celebration, the original SpongeBob Movie will be available in 4K for the first time.

Fans can pre-order Funko’s entire SpongeBob 25th anniversary collection on Entertainment Earth’s Website, with the release scheduled for July 2024, the same month the series first aired in 1999. Almost every episode of SpongeBob SquarePants is currently available for streaming on Paramount+.
