As Murphy returns to the franchise, he is joined by some of his original co-stars, including Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, and Bronson Pinchot, who reprise their roles as Billy Rosewood, Captain John Taggart, and Serge, respectively. The film also introduces some fresh faces, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kevin Bacon, and Taylour Paige.

Murphy’s signature charm and wit are once again on full display as he brings Axel Foley back to life. With a career spanning over four decades, Murphy has become synonymous with action-comedies, having started his career with stand-up comedy and memorable stints on Saturday Night Live. He has also had success as a director, with his directorial debut being the gangster film Harlem Nights.
