EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa experienced a terrifying burglary while vacationing in Marbella.
Thieves targeted her holiday home, making off with £20,000 worth of valuables, including her cherished engagement ring from husband Dan Osborne. The burglars also stole cash, designer clothing, and electronics in the dramatic heist.
The break-in occurred late Saturday night while the family slept. Jacqueline, Dan, their daughters Ella and Mia, and Dan’s son Teddy were all in the house during the frightening incident.
A source told, “Jacqueline and Dan are really shaken. She raised the alarm after spotting a torch and was confronted by two men in balaclavas. Both men fled when they saw her.
It’s terrifying to think what could have happened if the kids had woken up and seen the men in their bedroom. Jacqueline and Dan feel fortunate it wasn’t worse.”
Spanish authorities are investigating the incident, but Jossa has yet to make a public statement. Just before the burglary, the family had been captured in cheerful moments enjoying the beach during their two-week stay.
A friend revealed more details of the break-in: “The villa had good security, and Jacqueline and Dan have CCTV. They believe it took about ten minutes for the burglars to break in, and the men were inside the property for around 15 minutes.
Jacqueline said it was completely silent. It wasn’t until a flash of a torch woke her up that they realized something was wrong.”
The friend continued, describing the extent of the theft: “After going through everything, they discovered that the burglars had stolen £20,000 worth of belongings, including Jacqueline’s engagement ring and some of her handbags.
They even took cash from one of the kids’ backpacks. It’s disgusting. Jacqueline and Dan have stayed calm and put on brave faces for the kids. They haven’t told them what happened.”
The source added, “The last thing they want is for the kids to feel scared. They’re focusing on the good memories they made during the holiday as a family before the robbery. Jacqueline and Dan have both been in contact with the police. They don’t want another family to go through what they have.”
This burglary follows closely on the heels of another celebrity home invasion. Nick Grimshaw’s rented Ibiza villa was recently targeted by thieves while he was celebrating his 40th birthday.
Grimshaw, his mother Eileen, and his fiancé Meshach Henry were victims of a notorious gang known for using sedative gas to subdue residents before robbing their homes, dressed in “hazmat suits” for the sinister operation.
Grimshaw and his family escaped unharmed. A source explained, “There have been a series of attacks on luxury villas across Ibiza this summer. Unfortunately, Nick’s villa was on the target list simply because it’s known to be used by high-net-worth clients.”
