Jared Leto seems to be unaware of the immense popularity of Love Island USA. On Friday, August 16, the islanders from season 6 gathered for a panel discussion at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.
After the event, hundreds of fans assembled outside to meet the reality TV stars, and Leto, 53, happened to be passing by.
Footage shared on social media shows Leto leaning out his car window and waving to the crowd. He also gave a thumbs-up, appearing to acknowledge the fans as if they were there to see him specifically.
Leto did not attend the 92NY panel, which was filled with Love Island enthusiasts, and even more fans were waiting outside to catch a glimpse of the reality stars.
TikTok star Remi Bader moderated the panel, which included several season 6 stars discussing their experiences in the villa. The panel featured winner Kordell Beckham, Liv Walker, Rob Rausch, Kaylor Martin, and the couple JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez.
Just before the 92NY event, JaNa, 27, and Kenny, 24, spoke with Us about their relationship both in and out of the villa.
“My top priority is to ensure Kenny feels comfortable at all times,” JaNa exclusively told, joking about wearing a wedding dress to the finale. “He understands my sense of humor—full throttle, no brakes.

I have a pretty dark sense of humor, and I’m thankful he gets it. Anyone else might think I’m a bit crazy or unstable. He keeps me grounded. So whatever he wants, I want!”
Kenny expressed that the couple has made communication a priority, even when they are apart.
“We call each other in the morning and at night, and we make time for each other. We both understand our schedules are busy, but I think we’ve managed well,” he told Us. “When you call me, I answer. When I call, you answer.”
JaNa and Kenny also met up with their fellow islanders in New York City to film the season 6 reunion, which is now streaming on Peacock.
JaNa mentioned she came prepared with four pages of notes for the tell-all. “I was overly prepared,” she joked.
JaNa and Kenny are not the only couple from season 6 to maintain their relationship after the show. Kordell, 22, and co-winner Serena Page, as well as Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi, plan to continue dating.
However, not all Love Island USA couples found lasting connections. Fellow islander Nicole Jacky revealed on Tuesday that her partner Kendall Washington ended their romance abruptly via text.
