The highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film “Kalki 2898 AD” has generated significant buzz among fans, with the production team sharing an update on the project’s progress. According to producers Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt, around 35 to 40 percent of the shoot has been completed, and the production is set to restart in the second quarter of 2025. The goal is to wrap up the remaining scenes by the end of the year, ensuring a timely release.
The sequel, which continues the narrative of Bhairava (Prabhas), will see him turning protector for Sumati (Deepika Padukone) and her unborn baby. Director Nag Ashwin has previously revealed that the second installment will be less time-consuming than the first, as the team has already established the world and characters.
