The month of October has been a successful one for Will Smith fans, with his latest film, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, dominating the charts on Netflix, and his animated film, Shark Tale, also finding success on the streamer. This good news is set to continue into November with the arrival of one of Smith’s most rewatchable titles, The Pursuit of Happyness, on Tubi next month. This 2006 film, based on the inspirational true story of stockbroker Chris Gardner, earned Smith both a Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for Best Actor.

Directed by Gabriele Muccino and written by Steven Conrad, the film stars Smith as Gardner, a single father and stockbroker struggling to make ends meet. Despite the numerous challenges he faces, Gardner finds the courage to keep pushing for the sake of his young son, played by his real-life son Jaden Smith. The film is a poignant story filled with many life lessons, and Smith’s performance is widely regarded as one of his best dramatic performances. In a recent interview, Smith himself praised the film, stating that it is the best individual movie he has ever made, surpassing even the success of the first Men In Black.
