Inheritance Film

The first trailer for Inheritance, the upcoming film starring Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor, has been revealed, offering a thrilling look into the action-packed adventure.

In the film, Dynevor, known for her role as Daphne in the Netflix series, steps into the shoes of Maya, a young woman thrust into an international conspiracy after discovering that her father (played by Rhys Ifans) was a former spy.

As Maya unravels her father’s hidden past, she embarks on a globe-trotting quest to master his espionage skills, traveling through Egypt, India, and South Korea.

The adrenaline-fueled trailer highlights Maya’s perilous journey across continents, featuring intense close-combat scenes and high-stakes chase sequences. Maya’s mission becomes even more dangerous as she faces accusations of possessing sensitive government secrets.

Joining Dynevor and Ifans in the cast are Ciara Baxendale, Kersti Bryan, Daniel Joey Albright, Mitchell Hochman, Majd Eid, Byron Clohessy, Salim Siddiqui, and José Alvarez.

The film is directed by Neil Burger, renowned for Limitless, Divergent, and The Marsh King’s Daughter. Burger co-wrote the screenplay with Olen Steinhauer. Inheritance is set for a cinematic release on January 24, 2025.

In addition to her role in Inheritance, Dynevor has appeared in films such as The Colour Room and Fair Play.

Recently, she opened up about her relationship with her mother, Sally Dynevor, a veteran actress on Coronation Street. Despite their shared profession, Phoebe revealed they rarely discuss work.

“We actually, weirdly, keep ourselves pretty separate. We are doing such different things in the industry, but we all follow by example,” she said.

“I have always looked up to my mum and how she navigates being on a soap for so many years, and I think my sister does the same with me, hopefully!”

Looking ahead, Dynevor has several projects in the pipeline, including Anniversary, where she stars alongside Mckenna Grace, Daryl McCormack, Kyle Chandler, and Zoey Deutch, as well as Beneath the Storm, which features Djimon Hounsou and Whitney Peak. Inheritance will hit theaters on January 24, 2025.
