Sony has solidified its collaboration with Spider-Man star Tom Holland, signing a production deal with Holland’s newly established label, Billy17. The label, founded alongside Harry Holland and Will South, marks a significant step in Holland’s career as he ventures into production.
This announcement comes shortly after Sony set a release date for its fourth Holland-led Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie, slated for July 24, 2026. The upcoming film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
Billy17 is kicking off its partnership with Sony by developing an original feature titled Burnt. The project, penned by Oscar-winner Rodney Rothman (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), is designed to star Tom Holland, though the storyline remains under wraps.
Expanding Horizons for Billy17
Billy17 is also working on an adaptation of Graeme Simsion’s bestselling novel The Rosie Project for TriStar Pictures. The project will be produced by Matt Tolmach and Michael Costigan of Jason Bateman’s Aggregate Films banner.
Additionally, Billy17 is teaming up with Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal to adapt Teddy Wayne’s novel The Winner. Like Burnt, The Winner is being developed as a starring vehicle for Tom Holland.
Tom Holland expressed his excitement about the new venture, stating: “I’ve had an incredibly happy and successful relationship with Sony Pictures for almost a decade, so they felt like the perfect partner to launch our production company with.
It’s been an ambition of mine to take this step for some time now, and we’re incredibly excited to bring entertaining and rewatchable movies to the big screen.

This is the hope for us, and it starts with Burnt, an idea which has been sitting in our heads for a few years. Having Rodney attached to pen our most ambitious project is incredible. We’re diving into the deep end here, and we’re extremely excited for what comes next.”
Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group Chairman and CEO Tom Rothman also lauded the collaboration: “Tom, Harry, and Will are bursting with cool ideas and have the zeal to follow through on them.
Sony is lucky as hell to be extending our already immensely successful relationship with Tom, and our ongoing work on the franchises we have together, to a new era which will take advantage of the trio’s producing skills, in wonderful addition to Tom’s extraordinary acting abilities. We are pushing hard on these new projects, with doubtless more to come.”
A Proven Partnership
Sony and Holland’s partnership has been fruitful, with Holland not only starring in but also executive producing Uncharted, which earned over $407 million worldwide. This ranks it as the fourth-highest-grossing video game adaptation domestically.
Meanwhile, the Jon Watts-directed Spider-Man trilogy featuring Holland has been a monumental success, grossing nearly $4 billion worldwide.
The trilogy’s latest installment, Spider-Man: No Way Home, earned $1.9 billion globally, making it the seventh-highest-grossing film of all time worldwide, the third-highest domestically, and the most successful release in Sony Pictures’ history.
Billy17 is represented by WME, Sloane, Offer, Weber, Dern, while Holland himself is represented by WME, Shelter PR, and Sloane, Offer, Weber, Dern.
