Since its release in late November, Gladiator II has performed modestly at the box office, earning over $416 million worldwide.
The film also garnered two Golden Globe nominations this year, including a nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Denzel Washington. If you missed the film in theaters, you can now stream it at home.
Gladiator II is available in 4K Ultra HD on Prime Video, Apple TV, and other video-on-demand platforms. You can rent the film for $19.99 or purchase it digitally for $24.99.
Additionally, the physical media release of Gladiator II will be available on DVD and 4K Ultra HD Steelbook on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The DVD will be priced at $18.89 (regularly $25.99), while the 4K Steelbook is offered for $44.92 (regularly $50.99) at Walmart.
In terms of reviews, Variety’s Owen Gleiberman described Gladiator II as a “solid piece of neoclassical popcorn,” with Denzel Washington delivering a commanding performance as the villain.
Directed by Ridley Scott, Gladiator II follows Hanno (Paul Mescal), a soldier who is enslaved after the Romans destroy his home.
Forced to become a gladiator for the entertainment of the Roman elite, Hanno seeks to find the strength and honor needed to lead a revolution against the tyrannical emperors, Geta (Joseph Quinn) and Caracalla (Fred Hechinger), and his cruel slave master, Macrinus (Denzel Washington). The cast also includes Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, and others.
