Christine Quinn and her son have bid farewell to Los Angeles, choosing to establish new — and familiar — roots in Texas.

In an interview published on Friday, January 17, the Selling Sunset alum, 36, expressed her gratitude for her new home near Dallas.

“I am really, really grateful to be living here,” she said. “[It’s a blessing to] be close to my family. I have a sister who lives really close to me, and my son has a cousin.”

Quinn, who was born in Dallas, shared that having loved ones nearby was something she “needed,” especially in contrast to the “chaos” of her life in Los Angeles.

Over the past year, the real estate agent has faced a series of personal challenges, particularly with her estranged husband, Christian Richard.

In March 2024, Richard was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly throwing a bag containing glass at Quinn.

The following month, Richard filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple shares a son, Christian, who is 3 years old, and was born in May 2021.

Despite the ongoing divorce proceedings, Quinn shared that she is “very optimistic that it will be finished soon.”

Having settled in Texas, Quinn is now focusing on making the house feel like home, and it’s no surprise that she’s taking charge of the decorating process.

“I found a wonderful house,” Quinn explained. “I would say it’s, like, 60 percent done, but there’s still some things that I want to do and really take it to the next level because I love interior design.”

As Quinn begins to build her life in Texas, her son Christian is also adjusting well to their new environment.

Before the move, Quinn admitted she was “really worried” about her son, who had previously been “nonverbal.” Since relocating, Christian has become a “complete chatterbox,” according to Quinn.

“It’s just so crazy since I moved to Texas,” she said. “I mean, he was literally a nonverbal child at 3 years old, which is pretty rare. He went from that to being immediately enrolled in school, having other kids around him, being so talkative, being so extroverted.”

In addition to making friends in his new home, Quinn revealed that her son has been participating in an “intensive therapy” program. However, she believes that the change in environment has played a significant role in his development.

“Children are a product of the effect of their environment,” she explained. “And hopefully, that’s kind of coming through now.”
