The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 2, showcasing some of the biggest names in the music industry.
The nominations for the prestigious awards show were revealed in November 2024, with women leading many categories. Beyoncé led the way with 11 nominations for her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter. Charli XCX and Billie Eilish followed with eight and seven nominations, respectively. Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and Chappell Roan each earned six nominations.
Despite wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles in January 2025, which caused some Hollywood events to be postponed, the Recording Academy has confirmed that the Grammys will proceed as scheduled. The event will also highlight wildfire relief efforts.
“This year’s show… will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours,” wrote Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Tammy Hurt, chair of the board of trustees, in a letter sent to Recording Academy members on January 13.
The letter further stated, “In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else. The Grammys will not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community but also serve as a platform to amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles.”
In response to the wildfires, the Recording Academy, in collaboration with MusicCares, launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with a $1 million donation. The organization has already distributed $2 million in emergency aid through additional contributions.
Here’s everything we know so far about the 2025 Grammys: Trevor Noah will return as the host for the fifth consecutive year.
The first wave of performers announced on January 24 includes Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Benson Boone, Doechii, Raye, Shakira, and Teddy Swims.
As of now, no presenters have been announced for the event. Taylor Swift earned six nominations for the 2025 Grammys.
The 2025 Grammys will air live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2, at 8 p.m. ET. The 2025 Grammys will be broadcast live on CBS and will also be available to stream on Paramount+.
While most nominees will have to wait until February 2 to see if they win, several artists will be honored with Special Merit Awards in a ceremony held the day before, on Saturday, February 1.
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include Frankie Beverly, The Clash, Dr. Bobby Jones, Taj Mahal, Prince, Roxanne Shante, and Frankie Valli. Erroll Garner, Glyn Johns, and Tania León will receive Trustees Awards, and Dr. Leo Beranek will be honored with a Technical Grammy Award.
