Savannah Chrisley is relieved that Todd Chrisley’s prison is shutting down, but she remains anxious about where her father will be transferred next.

“It’s a bittersweet moment. I’m glad it’s closing because no one should have to endure the conditions and treatment that facility provided,” Savannah, 27, shared during the Tuesday, January 28, episode of her “Unlocked” podcast, referring to the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida.

“At the same time, I’m also sad because I don’t know where he’ll be relocated. I don’t know where they plan to send him.”

Todd, 55, is currently incarcerated in Pensacola, serving a 12-year sentence for tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy.

A press release from the Federal Bureau of Prisons stated that efforts will be made to place adults in custody (AIC) within 500 miles of their intended release location, taking factors such as programming needs into consideration.

The statement also indicated that the nearest alternative facility is FCI Marianna, which is two hours away. However, Savannah asserted that any decision to move her father further away would be an act of “pure retaliation” by a facility staff member who allegedly has animosity toward him.

“I truly hope they adhere to that policy because if they don’t, you all know I will fight relentlessly,” she continued. “I will do everything I can to prevent that demolition. And you may be wondering—why? Wasn’t that your ultimate goal?”

Savannah elaborated: “Yes, it was. But my goal isn’t complete until I have obtained all the necessary documentation. I need a full, thorough inspection of that facility and its environment.

I need to know the levels of lead-based paint, black mold, and asbestos. I need the data on the drinking water quality. I need everything because there are men leaving that prison with severe health issues—cancer and beyond.”

Todd has previously spoken out about the reportedly “filthy” conditions at the prison. However, in December 2023, a representative for the Federal Bureau of Prisons told that the agency takes its responsibility toward incarcerated individuals seriously.

“The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), including the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola, remains committed to protecting those in our custody while ensuring the safety of correctional staff and the surrounding community,” the FBOP’s statement read.

“We strive to maintain a controlled environment that is both secure and humane, prioritizing the physical and emotional well-being of those in our care.”

The representative also noted that the FBOP has an Administrative Remedy Program that allows incarcerated individuals to formally request a review or resolution for nearly any concern regarding their imprisonment.

Everything to Know About Todd Chrisley’s Prison Stay

Savannah has consistently voiced her concerns about her father’s prison conditions, which she believes have not been properly addressed.

“[Inmates] enter that facility with a set sentence, but many are leaving with lifelong health consequences,” she alleged on Tuesday.

“That’s why I want to gather all the necessary documentation, so these men have the option to file a class action lawsuit if they choose to. Unfortunately, the BOP seems intent on eliminating any evidence that could support their case.”

Earlier in the episode, Savannah revealed that she had spent $500 trying to communicate with her mother, Julie Chrisley, who was initially serving her seven-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, before being transferred elsewhere.

“After reading my mom’s letters about the transfer process, I know it’s going to be a nightmare for my dad, too,” Savannah admitted.

“It breaks my heart knowing that both of my parents will have to endure such a traumatic experience. But if my mom made it through, I know my dad can, too. I trust that God has a plan for all of this.”
