Melody Shari has officially announced her departure from Love & Marriage: Huntsville after nine seasons.
“In 2018, I made the decision to open my life to the world as a cast member on the Oprah Winfrey Network’s Love & Marriage: Huntsville,” Shari, 39, shared in a statement on Friday, January 31.
“At the time, I had no idea what to expect. All I knew was that bringing this show to life had been a personal goal of mine, and now it was one more dream I could check off my list.”
The reality series originally launched as a show focused on three successful African American couples who unite to help revitalize the thriving city of Huntsville, Alabama, through their joint real estate venture, The Comeback Group.
Shari acknowledged that her time on the show has led to “opportunities beyond my dreams.”
Shocking TV Exits Through the Years
“I’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly amazing people while also experiencing difficult lessons about life, relationships, and friendships,” she reflected.
“I consider all of it a blessing because, without pressure, there is no diamond. It’s not easy to share some of your darkest moments with the world, but it becomes more bearable when you understand that you were created to endure the heat.”
While expressing her gratitude to fans who have “shown me grace, loyalty, and love,” Shari made it clear that this chapter of her life is now coming to an end.
