Palworld’s Crossplay Update, Full Patch Notes For Xbox

Palworld's Crossplay Update

Palworld developer Pocketpair has been working tirelessly to enhance the game, and today marks the launch of its highly anticipated crossplay update.

This major feature now allows players to connect seamlessly across all supported platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Steam, PlayStation 5, and Mac. The update is part of Version 0.5.0, which brings a host of new additions such as a global Palbox, photo mode, balance adjustments, and numerous bug fixes.

One of the most significant additions is crossplay, allowing players to enjoy multiplayer gameplay regardless of their platform. The update also introduces the Global Palbox, a feature that lets players store and transfer Pal data between worlds.

Another major addition is the Dimensional Pal Storage, which offers ten times the capacity of a regular Palbox and can be shared among guild members or used privately.

For those who love customization, the Cosmetic Armour System is now available via the Antique Dresser, enabling players to change their character’s appearance without altering armor stats.

The inclusion of Photo Mode allows for stunning in-game screenshots, while the Drafting Table lets players combine low-rarity blueprints into higher-rarity versions. Additionally, dedicated servers for Mac have been introduced, expanding accessibility for more players.

Several gameplay adjustments have also been implemented. Players can now place buildings even if they overlap with a Pal, and connected foundations and roofs will now automatically align for smoother construction.

Assigning an Ice Pal to the Flea Market now slows down item decay in storage and sales. Torches have been added to dungeon entrances for better visibility, and players can now sit on chairs and cushions for added immersion.

Certain weapons that previously caused excessive damage to trees will no longer result in item drops upon destruction. Additionally, new NPCs have been introduced, along with improvements to NPC behavior during conversations.

Palworld’s Crossplay Update

In terms of balance adjustments, elemental chest rewards have been updated, guaranteeing Dog Coins while offering a small chance of containing work suitability books.

Players will also gain more EXP from defeating the Attack Chopper, and Flamethrowers have received a DPS boost. The default attack behavior of Electric and Dark Pals has been adjusted to be more in line with other elements.

Some human NPCs now have work suitability and work animations when assigned to tasks. To maintain fairness, NPC conversation logs have been reset, allowing players to claim revised event rewards. Additionally, summoned raid bosses can no longer damage other bases, and Dumud now has the Water attribute.

UI improvements include new favorite categories, allowing players to organize their Pal Soul Enhancement UI more efficiently. A new sorting option for the Pal Box has been added, allowing players to sort by Work Suitability Level.

A long-requested Fullscreen Mode has also been introduced, alongside an “Extra Large” text size option for better readability.

Alongside these major updates, several new achievements have been added to reward player progression. Bug fixes have also been a major focus of this update, addressing issues such as players getting launched into space while climbing and being sent flying into the sky if stunned while riding a flying Pal over water.

Other fixes include Bounty Tokens now stacking properly, NPCs no longer attacking through walls, and Pals no longer getting stuck on feed boxes on dedicated servers. Additionally, raiding NPCs can no longer attack players through walls, and an issue preventing Bounty Token effects from applying upon login has been resolved.

This major update comes amid recent controversy, as Niantic’s communications director and publishing manager revealed that the team was in shock following Nintendo’s lawsuit against Pocketpair for alleged patent infringement.

Despite the legal battle, Palworld’s development continues, with the team committed to expanding and improving the game for its rapidly growing player base.
