Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are one step closer to saying “I do!” According to a March 22, the Amazon founder, 61, and the former news anchor, 55, have officially sent out their wedding invitations after nearly two years of being engaged.
The invitations reveal that the couple is set to wed this summer in Italy. Previous speculation suggested the wedding might take place in June aboard their $500 million yacht, Koru, off the coast of Venice.
Bezos and Sánchez first went public with their relationship in 2019, and in May 2023, it was confirmed that Bezos had proposed while they were vacationing in the South of France. Shortly after, Sánchez was seen sporting her engagement ring as she and Bezos spent time together on the yacht.
Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos were also spotted attending the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where they posed for photos together.
Rumors about their upcoming wedding have circulated for months. In December 2024, Bezos took to X to shut down speculation that he and Sánchez were planning a lavish Christmastime ceremony.
At the time, Bezos also addressed a post on X referencing a New York Post article, which cited a report claiming the couple was preparing for a $600 million wedding in Aspen, Colorado, on Dec. 28.
Pershing Square CEO Bill Ackman reshared the article with the caption, “This is not credible. Unless you are buying each of your guests a house, you can’t spend this much money.”

In response, Bezos wrote, “Furthermore, this whole thing is completely false — none of this is happening.”
Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos were also seen in May 2024 attending the Monse Maison Pre-Met Cocktail Celebration at La Mercerie.
A source previously told that following their engagement, the couple was “on cloud nine — so happy and madly in love.”
“Her engagement ring is beyond stunning. And huge! She keeps playing with it and looking at it,” the insider shared. “You can tell she loves it.”
In addition to planning their wedding, Sánchez is preparing to lead an all-female expedition into space. She emphasized the importance of referring to them as “explorers,” noting that the term has traditionally been reserved for men.
Sánchez has also recently stepped into the world of publishing, releasing her first children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space. The story follows a fly who “is bad at school and kind of wanders and gets stuck in a space capsule,” she explained.
Bezos shares four children—three sons and one daughter—with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott. Sánchez has a son, Nikko, from her previous relationship with Tony Gonzalez, and two children, Evan and Ella, from her marriage to Patrick Whitesell.
