The Voice, a reality singing competition series, has had a consistent rotation of judges throughout its 26 seasons. The show’s unique format features non-traditional judges who are also coaches, fighting for the competitors they want on their teams, providing guidance, and offering continued support throughout the process. As judges depart and new talents emerge, it’s exciting to consider the potential new judges who could bring a fresh perspective and skillset to the show. Here are some music artists who would be perfect for the hot seat.

Ed Sheeran, the pop, folk-pop, and soft rock singer-songwriter, has had an extensive career, releasing several smash hits and albums since his debut in 2011. With a comforting voice and incredible stage presence, he would be able to help aspiring singers through the entire process. Sheeran’s extensive involvement in charities designed to inspire music in young artists, like the Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation (ESSMF), showcases his passion for assisting the next generation.

Sia, the pop and electronica singer-songwriter, was a guest judge on an earlier season of The Voice and mesmerized the contestants with her style and valuable feedback. As a songwriter and singer, she has a lot of talent and advice to share. Her ability to belt out songs with power that evoke emotion makes her a singer any aspiring artist would want to listen to and get tips from. Sia’s diagnosis with autism in 2023 makes her an incredible advocate for the community.

Robin Thicke, the R&B and pop singer, has experience as a judge on other reality shows, including every season of The Masked Singer. With his silky-smooth R&B-style tracks, he has collaborated with many of the artists who have already been judges, including Pharrell, Christina Aguilera, Usher, and Jennifer Hudson. Thicke’s extensive knowledge of and affinity for older artists like Marvin Gaye, The Beatles, and Bob Marley would be a valuable asset to the show.

Justin Timberlake, the pop and R&B singer, is still actively touring and making music. As a judge on The Voice, he would be able to share his knowledge of the music business and help aspiring singers tap into their emotions and stage presence. Timberlake’s experience as a member of boy band NSYNC and his solo career would make him an excellent coach, offering valuable advice on how to succeed and constantly reinvent oneself.

Brandy Norwood, the R&B, pop, hip-hop, gospel, and soul singer, has experience sitting on a judging panel for a reality competition show on America’s Got Talent. As a singer who rose to fame in the ’90s, she knows what it takes to stand out among a sea of artists. Brandy’s distinctive voice and experience with various genres would add a unique element to the show.

Keith Urban, the country, country pop, and country rock singer, has already been a judge on The Voice for the Australian version and appeared as a “Mega Mentor” on the American version. With his background in country music, he would be a great replacement for Shelton and McIntire, who announced her departure after season 26.

Lady Gaga, the pop, dance, electronic, jazz, and rock singer, is a musical icon with a powerhouse voice who overcame obstacles to find fame. As a judge on The Voice, she would be an inspirational and jaw-dropping addition to the panel. Gaga’s vocal talents are unmatched, and she would have so much to teach from both a technical standpoint and singing with emotion.

Kacey Musgraves, the country, pop, and folk singer, rose to fame after competing on Nashville Star and has spoken about her own experiences with songwriting and performance. She would be an excellent addition to the show, offering valuable advice on confidence and taking chances on stage.

Shawn Mendes, the pop, folk-pop, and pop-rock singer, catapulted to success after sharing video covers on Vine and has a loyal legion of fans. He may be able to help aspiring singers tap into their emotions and be more vulnerable with their voices and performances. Mendes’ ex-Cabello was a judge on the show, and it would be fitting for him to try his hand at the gig.

Lastly, Cassadee Pope, the country pop, pop rock, and pop punk singer, was a winner on The Voice and has a deep understanding of the show’s process. She would be the perfect coach, offering valuable advice on what it takes to succeed on the stage and sharing her own struggles with mental health.

The Voice has a rich history of featuring talented judges who bring their unique styles and expertise to the show. With these new potential judges, the show is poised to continue its ongoing success and inspire the next generation of musicians.
