Citadel: Honey Bunny — Russo Brothers Reveal Thrilling New Chapter of Espionage Saga in India

The Citadel franchise, led by the Russo brothers, is set to make a splash in the Indian market with the release of Citadel: Honey Bunny, the third installment in the series. The action-packed thriller premieres on Prime Video on November 7, 2024. The new trailer teases high-octane action and thrilling espionage as struggling actor and single mother Honey (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) teams up with her former partner and Nadia’s father, Bunny (Varun Dhawan), a stuntman-turned-spy, to save her life.

The Citadel franchise began with the original series, which was reportedly the most expensive TV series ever made. The show was renewed for a second season even before its premiere in the spring of 2023. The new installment, Citadel: Honey Bunny, is not just a standalone spin-off but a part of an intricate web of espionage and subterfuge. The story revolves around Nadia, who, along with Mason, ended up with new identities and lost memories of their original lives after a conflict with the rival spy agency, Manticore.

Directed by Raj & D.K. and co-written by Sita R. Menon, Citadel: Honey Bunny is executive produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes from AGBO, along with David Weil and Midnight Radio. The production is a collaboration between D2R Films, Amazon MGM Studios, and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO.

The action-packed thriller promises to deliver high-octane entertainment, with stunning fight scenes, high-stakes espionage, and personal drama. The trailer gives fans a Look into the world of espionage, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas starring as an adult Nadia in the original series, and Kashvi Majmundar playing the young Nadia, hinting at a future in the espionage business.

With the premiere date set for November 7, 2024, fans of the franchise are eagerly awaiting the release of Citadel: Honey Bunny. The Citadel franchise has built a reputation for delivering high-stakes action and thrilling espionage, and the new installment promises to be no exception.
