Netflix has revealed the full-length trailer for its upcoming Harlan Coben adaptation, Missing You.
The trailer introduces Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses) as Kat Donovan, a detective specializing in missing persons cases. Her investigation becomes deeply personal when her fiancé, Josh, disappears without a trace.
Joining Eleazar in the cast is Richard Armitage, a familiar face in previous Harlan Coben adaptations. This time, Armitage takes on the role of a police officer, a character type he describes as “something I’ve never played before.”
Also starring in the series are Ashley Walters (Top Boy), James Nesbitt (Stay Close, Bloodlands), Sir Lenny Henry (The Rings of Power), Steve Pemberton (Inside No. 9, Happy Valley), Jessica Plummer (EastEnders), Mary Malone (Doctor Who), and Lisa Faulkner (Unforgotten), rounding out a stellar ensemble cast.
Missing You follows the success of Fool Me Once, a Harlan Coben adaptation led by Michelle Keegan, which debuted in January 2024 and quickly became a massive hit.
The series is now ranked among Netflix’s top 10 most-watched shows ever. Richard Armitage has previously spoken about his enthusiasm for collaborating on Coben’s stories: “Harlan Coben is the master of cliffhangers, and his books are the kind you can’t put down. They adapt brilliantly for television drama.”
He added, “Netflix has realized his back catalogue is incredibly adaptable. They could continue producing these for the next decade, though I’m not sure if I’ll be in all of them. Never say never.”
Missing You will consist of five episodes, a shorter runtime that Coben notes will allow viewers to “watch it in one day.” Mark your calendars: the series premieres on Netflix on January 1, 2025.
