Josh Hartnett, known for his work in the action genre, finds himself in another intense scenario in his upcoming film, Fight or Flight—this time, 37,000 feet in the air.
In this new action-packed thriller, produced by John Wick director Basil Iwanyk and his production company Thunder Road Films, Hartnett plays a mercenary tasked with tracking down a target on a plane.
However, things take a turn when he must protect her after they are surrounded by a group intent on killing them both.
According to the official synopsis, Hartnett’s character is offered an escape from his troubled past in exchange for capturing a “high-value target” on a commercial flight—but he must ensure the target’s survival, which becomes increasingly complicated as the plane is filled with killers.
The trailer, full of high-energy action, showcases Hartnett facing off against multiple adversaries in the confined space of an airplane—setting the stage for the kind of explosive scenes that fans of John Wick will recognize.
James Madigan, making his feature directorial debut, takes the helm, although he has previously worked on films such as Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Iron Man 2 in various behind-the-scenes roles. Alongside Hartnett, the cast includes Bridgerton’s Charithra Chandran and The Mandalorian’s Katee Sackhoff.
Hartnett, who was recently seen in M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap as a father turned serial killer, also appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, portraying physicist Ernest Lawrence.
Fight or Flight is slated for release this February, although the exact date is yet to be confirmed.
