In a nod to the often-overlooked Batman sequel, Batman Forever, McFarlane Toys has announced a new line of DC Multiverse action figures. This announcement comes as the film prepares to mark its 30th anniversary. Batman Forever has garnered a cult following for its unique combination of camp and darker elements, setting it apart from other films in the franchise.

McFarlane’s new action figure line boasts an impressive roster of characters from the 1995 film. Val Kilmer’s Batman, Chris O’Donnell’s Robin, Jim Carrey’s Riddler, and Tommy Lee Jones’ Two-Face will all be featured in the upcoming line, set to be revealed during an IGN Live event on June 7. Fans can anticipate detailed figurines of Batman and Robin with cloth capes, Riddler with his signature question mark cane, and a build-a-figure of the colossal bat from Bruce Wayne’s dreams.

Initially panned for its goofiness and departure from the gothic style of its predecessors, Batman Forever has seen a resurgence in popularity, with many appreciating its campy style that pays homage to the classic Adam West Batman series. McFarlane’s latest offering is expected to be met with enthusiasm from both collectors and fans of the film.

Directed by Joel Schumacher, Batman Forever features a standout performance from Val Kilmer as Batman, Jim Carrey’s entertaining portrayal of the Riddler, and Nicole Kidman’s charming appearance as Dr. Chase Meridian. Beginning June 7, fans of the film and action figure collectors can pre-order the new McFarlane figurines on the manufacturer’s website and other retailers.
