This summer gets a whole lot more exciting as Netflix announces that “That ’90s Show” will premiere its second season in two parts. The first installment will drop on June 27, with the second part waiting for fans on October 24. This unexpected twist raises questions about the streamer’s release strategy, but one thing is certain – the show is back and better than ever.

As the second season picks up, Leia Forman and her gang are faced with friendship and relationship drama that threatens to tear them apart. Nine months have passed since the cliffhanger of the previous season, and the gang has reunited for another summer of fun in Point Place. The official synopsis hints at a tumultuous summer, with Leia and Jay struggling to keep secrets from each other – secrets that ultimately lead to strained relationships and threatened friendships.

The all-star cast, led by Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp as Red and Kitty Forman, returns with renewed excitement. Original series star Laura Prepon returns as Donna, Leia’s mother, while Don Stark reprises his role as her grandfather Bob. Expect cameos from a variety of guest stars, including Will Forte, Seth Green, Lisa Loeb, Carmen Electra, Wayne Knight, Kevin Smith, Tommy Chong, Jason Mewes, Matt Rife, and Kadeem Hardison.

With the first part premiering on June 27, and the second part following on October 24, fans are in for a wild ride of nostalgia, romance, and comedy.
