Jared Padalecki, the star and executive producer of The CW’s drama series Walker, is excited to announce the show’s return for its fourth season. The new season promises to be “darker and more intense” than previous seasons, with a focus on family drama, workplace tension, and a serial killer investigation. Padalecki believes that the show’s relatable themes of family struggles and keeping secrets from loved ones will resonate with viewers.

The fourth season of Walker will see character Cordell Walker, a widowed father and Texas Ranger, deal with the reappearance of a serial killer known as the Jackal. Padalecki promises that the season will be a “roller coaster” of emotions, with a balance between the light and dark aspects of the storyline. The show’s shortened episode count of 13 episodes has not posed any major problems for Padalecki, as he believes that the tighter schedule has allowed for more focus and intensity in each episode.

The show’s writers have made every moment feel real and human, according to Padalecki, who praises their efforts to make the show as real as possible. He has also expressed interest in reviving his previous show Supernatural, saying that he and co-star Jensen Ackles would only consider it if the story is right and the timing is good. In addition, Padalecki has mentioned conversations with Eric Kripke, the creator of both Supernatural and The Boys, about making an appearance on the latter show, although he jokingly noted that he’d need a nutritionist and trainer to get in shape for the role.

As Walker returns for its fourth season, Padalecki is confident that the show will continue to resonate with viewers. With its relatable themes, complex characters, and dark storyline, the show is shaping up to be a wild ride. Padalecki is excited about the direction the series is taking, and fans can expect a more intense and dramatic season.

Padalecki has also praised the show’s writers for making every moment feel real and human, saying that they’re “trying to make this as real as possible.” He has expressed hope that Jensen Ackles, his Supernatural co-star, will direct an episode of Walker again, although he is not planning on taking on directing duties himself. Instead, Padalecki will focus on his acting and executive producing roles, saying that he respects the craft of directing too much to take an episode away from a deserving director.

Padalecki is excited about the direction Walker is taking and is confident that the show will continue to resonate with viewers. With its relatable themes, complex characters, and dark storyline, the fourth season of Walker is shaping up to be a wild ride.
