For over 20 years, the term “showmance” has been synonymous with Big Brother, a reality TV show where contestants form romantic relationships while competing against each other. Since the show’s inception in 2000, numerous showmances have emerged, with some even resulting in long-lasting, successful relationships.

One of the most enduring showmances is that of Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder, who met on season 11 and returned to compete together on season 13. They went on to get married in 2016 and have two sons, Lawson and Layton. Another iconic showmance is that of Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas, who met on season 12 and competed together on two seasons of The Amazing Race. They got married in 2012 and have two children, Adora and Adler.

Other successful showmances include that of Daniele Donato and Dominic Briones, who got married in 2013 and have two daughters, Tennessee and Lux. Victor Arroyo and Nicole Franzel, who met on season 18, got married in 2021 and have a son. Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson, who met on season 19, have four daughters, and Swaggy C and Bayleigh Dayton, who met on season 20, have two children.

More recent showmances include that of Memphis Garrett and Christmas Abbott, who got married in 2022 after a whirlwind romance. Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss, who met on season 23, got engaged in 2022 and have since competed on The Amazing Race together. Finally, America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger, who met on season 25, have been together since leaving the house.

These showmances not only showcase the unique dynamics of reality TV but also the power of love and relationships. Despite the challenges and drama that come with competing on a reality show, some of these couples have managed to build lasting relationships that transcend the confines of the Big Brother house.
