Amityville Harvest Trailer Revealed

The long-awaited trailer of ‘Amityville Harvest’ has just been dropped, and we have already got to see a lot in the two minutes trailer itself. The trailer hints that this time the storyline will be executed in a crumbled Victorian mansion that is nothing but a funeral home possessed by the ominous, Vincent Miller. From what it looks, Miller will be documenting his family’s history dating back in the Civil War, but the interesting part is neither is his voice inaudible on film nor is his image capturable. Judging by the events in the trailer, it seems like Miller might be a vampire or some other supernatural creature. Several scenes from the trailer show someone in a bloody lab coat and black latex gloves, running after people. In addition to vampires, the house too appears to be haunted. You can get a clear picture of the storyline through the attachment given below.

Inspired by the supernatural events that seem to have taken place at 108 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York, in1974, the upcoming movie titled ‘Amityville Harvest’ is scheduled to release on October 19, 2020, and is slated to land on DVD, On-Demand, and on Digital HD. This is not the first time that events from this place have been used as an inspiration for books and films, as the first horror movie that was based on the events, unfolded in1977 and became an instant hit, with the movie spawning eight sequels as well as a remake that stars Ryan Reynolds.

Although Amityville is known best for being the place of horror, the events that the films portray might not be entirely true, and many of the stories are entirely based on the rumors. There is no debate about the murders in the avenue to actually take place, but the stories following the events are not precisely confirmed.

Amityville Harvest Storyline

Written and directed by Thomas J. Churchill, the movie is filmed in Amityville, New York, and the United States. The American horror-thriller depicts the story of Christina and her documentary video team, who, while residing at an old manor to research about its liquor-smuggling history, interview their host, Vincent, who seems to be strange and unpredictable. After a number of shocking dreams and bloody incidents, the video-making team falls victim to Victor’s hypnotic spell. It will be interesting to watch how Christina and her sister break Victor’s dark magic spell and escape Amityville’s deadly harvest.

The New Mutants Premiere to Get Delayed in the UK

After multiple delays in the last two years, The New Mutants is finally going to release on August 28, 2020, in the United States. However, it seems like the UK still needs to wait for a few more days for watching the movie as the release has been shifted to a new date yet again. The movie has been rescheduled to release on September 4, 2020, in more than 300 locations in the UK. This might be done in order to give enough screens to Christopher Nolan’s film, ‘Tenet’, and to avoid a clash at the box office as well, which is scheduled to release on August 26 this year. The movie was initially slated to release on April 13, 2018, and then suffered delays many times before it was scheduled for an April 2020 release. However, even that didn’t work out because of the Coronavirus pandemic. Hence the makers of the movie need their fingers crossed so as to not delay the film anymore.

The movie casts a group of mutants— Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair or Wolfsbane, who is playing the role of a Scottish mutant, with the ability to transform himself into a wolf; Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin, playing the role of Magik, a Russian mutant having sorcery powers; Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie or Cannonball, cast as an American mutant having the power to propel himself into air; Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar or Mirage, playing the role of a Native American mutant having the ability to create illusions; and Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa, playing the part of Sunspot, a Brazilian mutant with the power to manipulate solar energy. The movie also casts Alice Braga as Cecilia Reyes, the mentor to the group.

The New Mutants Plot

The American horror superhero film, inspired by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod’s Marvel Comics team bearing the same name, ‘The New Mutants’ revolves around five young mutants, who, upon discovering their special powers, rebel in order to escape their past ill-deeds and free themselves, while held in a secret institution against their own will to supposedly provide treatment for curing the dangers involved in their powers. The movie is supposed to be the final installment of the X-Men film franchise.

Produced by Simon Kinberg, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Karen Rosenfelt, under the production house of 20th Century Studios, Marvel Entertainment, Sunswept Entertainment and Genre Films, the movie was earlier pitched for the first in the trilogy, but the plan was later dropped because of the Marvel Studio, gaining domination over the characters in the movies. Directed by Josh Boone, the film is going to another impressive centerpiece for the 20th Century Fox franchise, after the R-rated tandem of Deadpool and Logan received big numbers at the box office, critical appreciation, and an Oscar Nomination as much as the latter one is concerned.

The official trailer of The New Mutants was released a long time back, and you might already have watched it. However, if you haven’t watched it yet now, here is an attachment for you.

Let us hope not to witness any more delays as there is still some time before the movie is going to hit the screens. We will provide you the latest news so stay tuned with us.

DC Announced New Injustice Project – Era Of Superheros

Here is a great piece of news for all comic book lovers who have loved the Injustice franchise! DC just announced that Tom Taylor, the writer of ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us,’ is currently working on a new project for the Injustice franchise. If we go by the removed story of Comicbook, it is going to be a first digital return to the world of comic books for Injustice video games— a new prequel bearing the title, ‘Injustice: Year Zero’. The series, which is slated to release as a digital exclusive, has already made available the first three installments on Amazon, ComiXology, and other digital booksellers carrying comic books. The next chapter will be published on August 18, Tuesday, and then will be available in the nearby stores shortly after.

The new Injustice project will be published twice in a month, after the launch of three chapters yesterday, and then head to the comic shops for sale. You can buy all of the released issues for a discounted price of 2.49 US dollars on ComiXology. According to the speculations, DC will be wanting to declare the launch of the digital-first series only after the first chapter is available for sale. Maybe this can be the reason for the removal of the story.

Injustice New Project Announcement
Injustice New Project by DC

‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ is originally a fancy fighting game consisting of the DC characters, set in an alternate universe, where Superman gets driven crazy by the death of Lois Lane, turning him into a troublemaker for the world, while the other superheroes tries to stop him in unison. The video game became an instant hit and soon, it was successful in spawning a sequel to it, along with the comic book series. Injustice: Gods Among Us was released by DC Comics on the digital platforms, from January 2013 to September 2016, and later in the form of physical comic books. Although the genre of the story was very likely to turn off big numbers, because of focusing ultra-violently on an evil Superman, surprisingly, the book sold well and even gained the support of the critics.

The announcement has just been made that the fifth chapter of the ‘John Wick’ franchise is under development and is ready to be filmed in 2021, back-to-back with the fourth installment, which is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2022. The movie will be hitting the theatres in 2023, hoping that the condition of the world involving the Coronavirus pandemic gets better. Both John Wick Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 (as yet untitled) are currently in its pre-production stage. John Wick first premiered on October 24, 2014, in the U.S and grossed 88 million dollars worldwide approximately. Chapter two premiered on February 10, 2017, while ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ was released last year on May 17, 2019, and earned 326 million dollars worldwide.

The movies are available to be watched online on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and other streaming platforms. You can opt for any of the platforms mentioned above provided that you have the subscription rights to it.

According to the sources, Shay Hatten and Derek Kolstad might be in charge of the writing part for chapter four. Although it hasn’t been announced who will be scripting the upcoming movie, Chad Stahelski, involved in the direction of all the three projects of John Wick, is formally going to be a part of John Wick 4 as well, and maybe he will be joining the team for chapter 5 too. Although we are not sure about the rest of the members of the cast to join the upcoming project, we know that Keanu Reeves is going to return, as the titular character, John Wick.

John Wick Chapter 5 Release
A Still from John Wick

In the third chapter, Halle Berry is seen playing Sofia, Ian McShane as Winston, Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King, Asia Kate Dillon as the Adjudicator, Mark Dacascos as Zero, Lance Reddick as Charon, Anjelica Huston as the Director, Tobias Segal as Earl, Saïd Taghmaoui as the Elder, Randall Duk Kim as the Doctor, and others in pivotal roles. However, the films involved in this franchise have a habit of adding new characters every chapter, and therefore it is expected to discover a few big-names on the cast list of John Wick 4.

John Wick Chapter 5 Expected Storyline

Since chapter four has not come out yet, it is not possible for us to predict any storyline for John Wick Chapter 5, unless we can hack into the writers’ minds! We already know that the third chapter ended with a major cliffhanger. After surviving a small army of foot fighters in an out-of-service Continental Hotel, Winston and John both come out alive, at Adjudicator’s mercy. However, later, Winston shoots John several times before he falls off the terrace of the hotel. Although John doesn’t die and gains his consciousness under the care of the Bowery King, he seemed to be mad at the High Table. The ending denotes that there is going to be a war between John, along with the Bowery King, and the High Table in the upcoming sequel. If further information on the plot of the film is dropped, we will be the first one to inform you.
