Multiplayer gaming has become the brand new definition of the very profession or, the hobby of playing videogames. The gaming community has evolved beyond the monotonous way of playing single-player story mode games. Multiplayer mode is the new way to have fun as players team up with their friends and compete against a set of other players which makes the games thrilling and tough to conquer.

Many such titles have come up that provide these elements such as, Fortnite, PUBG, Counter-Strike, etc. but in this piece, we will be talking about Apex Legends Battle Royale, its release date on Nintento Switch, and details regarding other updates as well. Apex Legends is a first-person shooter battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment.

The game is a free-to-play multiplayer battle royale game composed of a training mode and squad mode. Twenty teams, each comprising of three players, will enter into an immersive island map in search of guns and supplies and survive the obstacles and difficulties to come up as the last man standing just like any other battle royale game.

Apex Legends Nintendo Switch Release Date

The game is going to release this fall i.e., winter 2020 for Nintendo Switch as said by EA. There is no word as to whether there will be a similar version for the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb had predicted that Apex Legends would also be released for Nintendo Switch. He said, “During a recent conference call with the investors, EA noted that it was looking more seriouslyat supporting the Switch. That could take many forms. But at the very least, it should mean Apex Legends making the leap to the Nintendo hybrid home console/handheld.”

He also added, “I would like to see EA shadow-drop some older games on the Switch, but who knows how much work that entails. A game like Apex legends could make money for years though.”

Apex legends is currently at its fifth season which kicked off on 12th May 2020. A new playable character Loba was introduced who possesses teleportation skills. Apart from the new character addition the current season also comprises a new battle pass, a quest system for solo and squad players and allowing players to rejoin the match if they get disconnected due to some technical hitches.

The system requirements for the game are:

64-bit processor(Intel Core i5-3570K or equivalent) and Operating System – Windows 7, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 970 8 GB or equivalent, DirectX 11, Broadband Internet Connection, 22 GB available space.

Metacritic has rated the game at 88/100, IGN has marked the game at 9/10. Same is the rating by GameSpot while PC Gamer has rated the game at 93/100.
