Jeremy Renner’s absence from the Mission: Impossible franchise since his appearance in 2015’s Rogue Nation has left fans wondering about his departure and potential return. Renner recently shed light on this matter, explaining that his decision to step away from the franchise was influenced by the demanding schedule required for filming, which became challenging after becoming a father.

In a conversation with Collider, Renner disclosed that although he was initially slated for more involvement in the franchise, the extensive time commitment, particularly filming in London, posed difficulties for him as a parent. Despite this, Renner expressed his fondness for the Mission: Impossible team, particularly his admiration for Tom Cruise, and his attachment to the character of William Brandt.
