The highly anticipated “Days with My Stepsister” anime is set to premiere on July 4, 2024, as officially announced on June 9, 2024. Accompanying this exciting announcement, the anime’s official staff released the main promotional video and revealed additional cast members and theme song artists.

Adapted from the popular Japanese light novel series by Ghost Mikawa, with illustrations by Hiten, “Days with My Stepsister” has entertained readers with its engaging storyline and relatable characters.

The series, published by Media Factory under the MF Bunko J imprint, has so far released nine volumes. The novels also inspired a manga adaptation illustrated by Yumita Kanade.

The recently released main trailer not only confirms the July 4, 2024, release date but also provides fans a sneak peek into the series’ narrative and characters. The anime will air every Thursday at 9 pm JST on AT-X, with subsequent broadcasts on Tokyo MX, BS11, and Kansai TV.

Additionally, streaming platforms such as U-NEXT, d Anime Store, and Animehodai will make the episodes available from 10 pm JST each Thursday. To further engage fans, the official team will host an online screening of the first three episodes on Kadokawa’s YouTube channel on June 23, 2024, featuring a talk session with the cast.

The trailer introduces viewers to the main characters, including step-siblings Yuuta and Saki, along with Shiori Yomiuri, Maaya Narasaka, and other supporting characters. The depiction of Yuuta and Saki’s daily lives offers a sneak peek into the themes and dynamics explored in the series.

Musical elements also play a significant role in the anime. The opening theme song, “Tenshi Tachi no Uta” (Song of the Angels) by Fhána, and the ending theme, “Suiso no Blanco” (Aquarium Swing) by Kitri, are previewed in the trailer, adding to the series’ emotional depth.

In terms of production, the anime boasts an impressive team. Emi Ota and Toku Watanabe join as main animators, with Imari Katsuragi as the color designer, Masatoshi Kai as the art director, Akane Shiraishi as the editor, and Shinyo Kondo as the director of photography.

Studio DEEN helms the project under the direction of Tsutomu Ueno, with Mitsutaka Hirota as the script supervisor and character designer. CITOCA composes the music at One Cushion and Nippon Columbia, while Noriyoshi Konuma directs the sound, supported by Kaori Yamada’s sound effects.

The main cast features Kohei Amasaki as Yuuta Asamura and Yuki Nakashima as Saki Ayase, with Minori Suzuki, Ayu Suzuki, Daiki Hamano, Reina Ueda, and Chikahiro Kobayashi rounding out the ensemble.

“Days with My Stepsister” follows high school student Yuuta Nakashima, whose life changes when his father’s remarriage makes his popular classmate, Saki, his stepsister. This romance anime delves into the evolving relationship between Yuuta and Saki, highlighting their personal growth and the challenges they face together.
